Playdates Galore!

My wish for MOPs is that we form new, lasting friendships and we are able to encourage each other and have fun together! Summer can be a wonderful time of refreshment and relaxation. I have scheduled playdates and mom's nights out for us to enjoy together over the summer.  I encourage you to come if you are able and bring a friend or a neighbor.  The more the merrier! You will find a current list of  things to do under calendar of events. This will be updated often so check back frequently! Blessings to you all.

A Model Mom

"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."  1 Corinthians 11:1

I was reading this in my Bible this morning and thought I would share with all of you.  As a mother, you have a unique position, both as a parent and as a child of God. Moms know what is best for their children. Our rules are for their good. We know that our children will be happier if they obey. In the same way, God, our heavenly Father, has rules meant for our good. Do we obey Him the way we want our children to obey us? Because if we don't, guess who is watching?  Choose to openly obey God in front of your children. It isn't always easy in the fast paced world that we live. We get cut off in traffic and what do we say or how do we act? It is hard to be patient and forgiving but those are 2 great qualities I want my child to have. There will always be little eyes watching and little ears listening even when we think they are not. What strengths do you want your children to inherit from you?  Be the model you want them to follow.

2012-2013 theme: Plunge!

I am so excited to announce the theme for next year...Plunge, love as if your life depended on it.  This theme is based off of I Peter 4: 8-11 which says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen".
